Corrosion protection
2K epoxy resin corrosion protection – coatings for metal surfaces
Properties of epoxy resin corrosion protection
The 2K epoxy resin systems provide strong adhesion on metal surfaces. They are solvent-free, can be adjusted with HP-XB thinner, and cure to a tack-free, durable surface. In addition, they create an effective barrier against moisture, offering high chemical resistance – including resistance to acids and alkalis. This makes the systems suitable for many applications where metal surfaces require additional protection.
Application areas of epoxy resin corrosion protection
The corrosion protection coatings are used, among others, on metal objects outdoors. Another important field of application is stable equipment, such as posts, feeding fences, cubicles, and partitions. In these areas, they help protect metal components from moisture and chemical exposure, ensuring the surfaces remain functional for longer.
Application of epoxy resin corrosion protection
The processing of the HP-E40KS epoxy resin corrosion protection is carried out by mixing resin and hardener in the specified ratio. The material can then be applied evenly using the rolling or brushing method. Depending on the substrate and the desired layer thickness, the material consumption is approx. 150–250 g/m². After full curing, a solid coating forms that effectively seals the substrate.
