Quartz sand

Quartz sand serves as a versatile filler and anti-slip additive for epoxy resin, polyester resin and other synthetic resin systems. With grain sizes of 0–1 mm and 1–2 mm, it is ideal for the production of polymer mortar, for broadcasting surfaces as well as for imitating mineral structures in floor coatings, mold making and composite processing.

Properties and benefits of quartz sand in resin systems

Quartz sand improves the mechanical properties of resin systems and increases the compressive strength as well as the abrasion resistance of coatings. It prevents resin layers from running on inclined surfaces, provides a non-slip surface and enables the production of durable composite structures.
