Description:
Dyneema® is known as the ‘strongest fibre in the world’. It has one of the lowest densities of any reinforcement fibre and the highest specific strength in relation to weight, as well as very good impact resistance. Despite corona treatment, however, the fabric has relatively low adhesion to the resin matrix.
Areas of application:
Dyneema® fabrics are ideal for ballistic applications such as armour, military helmets and bulletproof vests, and are resistant to mechanical wear and friction. However, this also makes them almost impossible to cut with standard scissors. Furthermore, they are resistant to many chemicals, salt water and UV radiation. Ideal for outdoor and marine applications.
