Cotton Flocks
Cotton flocks for resin systems and bonding
Properties and advantages of cotton flocks
Cotton flocks serve as a thickening agent for viscosity regulation and enable controlled processing of resin systems. They are mixed into epoxy resin and polyester resin systems and form thixotropic putties that are easy to apply. Especially in combination with glass fiber chips, they provide even greater strength and durability. The material is white, easy to sand, and allows the production of durable bondings and molded parts.
Applications of cotton flocks in laminating and repair processes
Cotton flocks are used in many areas, such as mold making, boat building, glider construction, automotive repair, or sandwich construction. They are particularly suitable for filling edges, leveling irregularities, or creating structural adhesive layers. In model making, they are also used to create precise joints while increasing the load capacity of components.
Cotton flocks as part of fillers for resin systems
In the field of fillers for resins, cotton flocks play an important role. They not only improve the mechanical properties but also contribute to more efficient processing. As part of resin/filler mixtures, they can be flexibly combined with other additives and open up a wide range of applications in composite processing, from repairs to industrial laminating processes.
