PUR (Resine) Gießharze
PUR (resin) casting resins – Fast-casting resins and flexible systems for accurate replications
What are PUR (resin) casting resins and what are they used for?
A PUR casting resin is a two-component polyurethane system that, after mixing resin and hardener, cures quickly and ensures fine detail reproduction. These resins are used in fields such as model making, prototyping, small series production, or for technical moldings. Thanks to their variable pot lives, both very fast systems for time-critical projects and flexible variants for complex or elastic moldings are available.
Properties of PUR (resin) casting resins
The HP-R4GB is a fast-casting resin with a pot life of around three to four minutes. It cures rapidly and enables quick demolding, making it particularly suitable for small and precise castings. The HP-R12GB offers a pot life of about nine to ten minutes, providing a longer processing window, which makes it ideal for larger casting volumes or complex geometries. Both systems are easy to process, achieve high mechanical strength, and are loadable within a short time. The range is complemented by HP-R15GB, a flexible PUR casting resin that impresses with its high elasticity. With a pot life of five to ten minutes and a long demolding time of more than twelve hours, it is especially suitable for producing thin-walled or movable models.
Application of PUR (resin) casting resins
The processing of PUR casting resins is carried out by precisely mixing resin and hardener in the specified ratio. Due to their excellent flow properties, the systems reliably fill even the finest details and create smooth surfaces. While fast-casting resins like HP-R4GB and HP-R12GB are mainly used for time-sensitive moldings, the flexible HP-R15GB is applied where mobility and elongation are required. Additionally, the resins can be pigmented with color pastes to achieve custom visual effects. This makes the PUR (Resin) Casting Resins a versatile solution for mold making, model making, and industrial molding applications.
