Vacuum lines – Flexible or rigid solutions for various process requirements

HP-Textiles offers several types of vacuum and resin tubing to suit different process demands. The standard vacuum line is a robust, impact-resistant plastic hose, widely used as a cost-efficient resin feed line in vacuum infusion setups. It is most commonly used with POM hose connectors and is suitable for both simple and complex laminates. As an alternative, the flexible vacuum line is made from transparent PU tubing with a thick wall, providing outstanding flexibility even in tight curves. It is ideal for reusable vacuum applications, for example as a suction line in combination with the HP-VZ1200 vacuum pump. Its outside-tolerance dimensions make it especially suitable for IQS push-in connectors. For central vacuum extraction, the spiral hose for vacuum infusion is used. Its spiral structure ensures excellent dimensional stability, and it can be reliably fixed in place using vacuum sealant tape (Tacky Tape) – ideal for large surface laminates.
 

Connectors & fittings – Reliable connections for any setup

A functional vacuum setup requires tight, modular connection solutions. The straight push-in connector connects two hoses with the same diameter quickly and without tools. To accommodate different diameters, the reducing straight connector is available, enabling smooth transitions between tubing sizes. The T-connector allows for symmetrical branches, while the Y-connector is ideal for angled routing of resin or vacuum lines. The threaded push-in connector with G1/4" female thread is designed for hose-to-threaded equipment connections such as vacuum pumps or pressure sensors. All of these components support flexible vacuum and resin line configurations and are fully compatible with both PU and plastic tubing systems.
 

Control & regulation – Accessories for precise process management

Controlling the vacuum pressure and resin flow is crucial for a stable infusion process. The shut-off valve with push connection enables precise isolation of specific vacuum circuits, e.g., for sectional evacuation of large molds. Unused ports can be temporarily sealed with end plugs, ensuring modular and clean setups. Vacuum gauges, available in vertical and horizontal designs, provide reliable pressure monitoring – essential for maintaining consistent vacuum levels during resin infusion. The Squeezee® hose clamp allows for fine-tuned resin flow regulation and quick shutdown of supply lines – ideal for process transitions such as the gel time phase, or for emergency stops.
 

Hose connectors – Modular routing in composite layups

HP-Textiles also offers dedicated hose connectors for flexible integration of different tubing systems. The straight hose connector, T-hose connector, and Y-hose connector are designed for easy, secure connections between hoses of equal diameter and support the creation of multi-line vacuum setups. The spiral hose connector ensures a secure connection between spiral vacuum lines, especially in complex geometries. For clean, print-free handling, the infusion hose connector is optimized for use with the infusion distribution channel, making it ideal for large surface laminations.

Advanced solutions – Specialized components for high-performance vacuum processes

For advanced composite manufacturing processes, HP-Textiles provides innovative, high-performance accessories. The MTI® VALVE is an automatic resin control valve, designed for use with the MTI® process. It autonomously regulates resin flow based on vacuum levels, ensuring a balanced and material-friendly infusion – with no manual adjustment required.The infusion distribution channel is a flat infusion line made from a 3D polyester filament core wrapped in an absorbent polyester fleece. This component supports uniform resin distribution across large surfaces and can be easily cut to size and applied in both manual and automated setups.
