Carnauba Wax Paste | HP-CX7
Carnauba wax based release agent for high gloss finished surfaces. Free of silicone, PTFE, morpholine or turpentine.
Features and properties
- Wax release agent for brilliant high glossy finish in moulds with smooth, non porous surfaces (metal, plastics, varnished wood or MDF)
- Suitable for most composites mould applications with solvent free epoxy and polyester resins
- Primer for film release agent HP-PVA
- High-gloss release agent for working with In-Mould Coating HP-IMC (HP-Textiles)
Processing guidelines
1. Clean and degrease the mould surface.
2. Apply HP-CX7 with a soft cloth in an area of approx. 70 x 70 cm in circular motion.
3. Polish directly (within 10 minutes) with a clean towel and buff carefully to a brilliant, hard finish.
New moulds:
Apply HP-CX7 minimum 4-6 coats. Allow to set 1-2h between each working step.
After the last coat, you should wait >6h (better over night) before laminating.
After each of first-three demoulds, it is necessary to apply a new coat.
Seasoned moulds:
If necessary, apply a new coat HP-CX7 and wait for setting at least for 1h.
Recommended working temperature is between +20 and +30°C.

- Density : 0.88 g/ml (at 20°C)
- Flashpoint : > 65 °C
- Ignition Temp. : > 300 °C
- Explosion limits : 0.6 – 8.5 Vol.-% (solvent)
- Application temperature : < 80 °C
- Consumption : 15 - 20 g/m² (one tin (700g) suffices for approx. 40 m²)
