Advantages of unidirectional carbon fabric
This lightweight carbon UD fabric offers a particularly homogeneous surface with maximum weight savings. Due to the orientation of the carbon fibers in the 0° direction, this fabric is particularly suitable for components that are subjected to bending loads in the longitudinal direction. Fabrics with a lower basis weight naturally also have a lower waviness, as the warp and weft are very thin. They exhibit higher strength than fabrics with a high basis weight.
