Glass Fiber Fabric Finish Unidirectional | HP-U80EF
Advantages of unidirectional glass fabric:
This newly developed, very lightweight glass UD fabric offers a particularly homogeneous surface with maximum weight savings. Due to the orientation of the glass fibers in the 0° direction, this fabric is particularly suitable for components that are subjected to bending loads in the longitudinal direction.
Fabrics with a lower weight per unit area naturally also have a lower waviness, as the warp and weft are very thin. They exhibit higher strength than fabrics with a high basis weight.
Advantages of glass fiber over carbon fiber:
Glass fibers are the material of choice, especially in sports equipment construction (e.g. boards), where, in addition to a certain flexibility for durability, it is not primarily the purely static breaking strength that is important, but rather the maximum energy absorption until breakage.

The injection- / infusion-resins of the series HP-E3000RI show very low viscosities,
what supports excellent wet-out and flow properties. The hardener HP-E30RI allows a pot-life of 200 minutes. The series is usable for hand-laminating too.
